01 Summary
This policy explains what information the app (package com.neeraj.pdfreader) handles, why, and the choices you have. It is published by NB Studios ("we", "us"). The only third party that receives any data from the app is Google, through the ads shown in the free version.
| Topic | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your PDFs and their contents | Processed on your device only. Never uploaded, never seen by us. |
| Account or personal profile | None. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number. |
| Ads | Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data, depending on your consent. |
| Data shared with us | Only what you choose to send by email (feedback). |
| Analytics or crash reporting | None. |
| Selling data | We never sell your data. |
02 Your documents
Every feature runs on your device: viewing, search, text selection, merge, split, compress, organize pages, annotate, sign, watermark, password protection, images to PDF and the rest. None of them uploads a file.
- While you work: a file you open is copied into the app's private storage, which other apps can't read. These working copies are deleted when you close the file or restart the app.
- Your originals: the app never changes the file you opened. Results are saved only where you choose, or shared only with the app you pick.
- Passwords: a password you type to unlock or protect a PDF is used only for that file, on your device. It is never stored, logged or sent anywhere.
- Signatures: if you save a signature for reuse, it is kept in the app's private storage on your device only. You can delete it from the signature list at any time.
We have no way to see, recover or access your documents.
03 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version shows a banner ad and offers an optional rewarded ad, which you can watch for a period without ads. These ads come from Google AdMob, which is the only part of the app that uses the internet.
To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect:
- your device's advertising ID and app set ID;
- your IP address, from which an approximate location may be worked out;
- device information such as model, operating system and language;
- ad interactions, such as ads viewed and tapped, and diagnostic data about ad performance.
The ad SDK never receives your documents, their text, their file names or your passwords.
Your choices. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form before ads are personalised. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Ad privacy choices. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google or Privacy settings.
Google processes this data under its own policies: How Google uses information · Google Privacy Policy.
04 Permissions
The app asks for as few permissions as it can. It does not request access to your storage, contacts, camera, microphone or location.
| Permission | Why it's needed |
|---|---|
| Internet | To load ads and the consent form. Every PDF tool works offline. |
| Network state | To check for a connection before loading an ad. |
You pick files through Android's own file picker, and the app gets access only to the files you choose. When you open a PDF from another app, Android grants access to that single file.
05 Information stored on your device
A small amount of information is kept on your device so the app works the way you left it. None of it is sent to us.
| What | Why | How to remove it |
|---|---|---|
| Recent files list: names, sizes, page counts | Reopen recent files with one tap | Settings → Clear local data |
| Your settings (theme, reading options) | Keep your preferences | Settings → Clear local data |
| Ad-free timer, if you earned one | Hide ads for the time you earned | Settings → Clear local data |
| Saved signatures | Reuse your signature | Delete it from the signature list |
| Working copies of open files | Let tools work on a safe copy | Deleted automatically when closing file |
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, removes all of the above.
06 Feedback and support emails
If you use Send feedback or Report a problem, your email app opens with a message to us. The message includes your device model, Android version and app version, which you can see and edit before sending. We receive only what you choose to send, including your email address. We use it only to reply and to fix problems, and we don't share it.
Please don't attach documents that contain personal information unless we need them to fix a problem.
07 Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
08 Security
Your files stay in the app's private storage and are deleted when no longer needed. Passwords are never stored. Because we don't collect your documents, there is nothing of yours on our side to be breached.
09 Your rights
We don't hold personal data about you other than emails you send us. You can ask us to delete those at any time. For data collected by Google for ads, use the choices described in the advertising section or Google's own controls.
10 Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and publish the new version at this address. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
